More bad luck with planes
So Air Tran is another airline to be wary of. First of all, I learned the hard way that it's not the same as ATA which meant concourse hopping at Logan. At both Logan and Baltimore, Air Tran is put in the crappy concourses. At BWI, the concourse had like, NO good restaurants. I had to settle for a mediocre cheeseburger at Roy Rogers which I had never even heard of. Of course, had I known my flight was delayed at this point, I could have hopped over to concourse A for some real food at McDonald's. At Logan, it was in a small, run down concourse with only four gates. Thanks to a late aircraft, late crew, deciding to do a maintenance check after we taxi out to the runway, shutting off the entire plane to reboot it, and waiting for a mechanic to sign off on the reboot, I didn't get in to Baltimore until 2am. A big thanks to my wonderful cousin Genelle for staying up to come get me!
My weekend in between flights was awesome thankfully! I went to my Great-Aunt Polly's 100th birthday party in Concord, NH. The pouring rain did not bring down our spirits. I got to see my parents and even my sister came all the way from St. Petersburg, Russia where she's studying abroad. I met some new cousins, one of whom works just blocks from where I live. And it turns out my friend's ex-girlfriend's sister is the president of a sorority that another cousin of mine is pledging. (Ok, so this is stretching it, but I still consider it to be a small world.) I think I set a record for most relatives seen in one weekend. On top of the 60+ that were at Polly's thing, I saw some more in Boston and then stayed in MD on Monday for cousin Maureen's surprise going away party.
I'm signed up to take the GREs next Thursday. Dunno if I'm gonna postpone it or not. I haven't studied as much as I'd have liked. I hate big words.
